Keep Fed
A channel born out of a passion for hosting friends, producing nostalgic menus for them, and creating stylised content.
The Creative
Keep Fed is a channel created by my partner and I, as we collaborate on making food content around what we love to do - cooking for ourselves and our friends.
Being big fans of Asian food we based our first series around 3x recipes celebrating Lunar New Year. We created a shooting format, revolving around a slightly more complex recipe, and two simpler dishes.
This gave us good variety for three different edits. My method was to give our own take on popular TikTok food trends such as #CucumberSalad (303M views) and #NoodlesRecipe (238M views).
While my partner handled set design, lighting and filming, I focused on storytelling, styling and editing.
In our process, we first collaborated on a mood board to define our shooting format, and how we wanted the content to look - as well as art direction and set styling. The core message was to make it as easy to understand as possible.
We also visited our local prop house to hand-select all of the backgrounds and authentic Chinese dishes to style according to our colour palettes of red, navy, grey and teal greens.
